Conservative political consultant Roger Stone is optimistic that former President Donald Trump will make “quality government decisions” when he returns to the White House a second time.
He shared this thought with the Health Ranger Mike Adams during an appearance on the “Health Ranger Report.” Stone explained that Trump has learned from his earlier wrong decisions when it comes to trusting people he will be working with. He assured Adams that this time, it will be different.
“[Trump] acknowledged he made mistakes, but let’s recognize that he didn’t come from the world of politics – he came from the world of business,” Stone remarked. “He honestly thought that the Republicans were with him, and the Democrats would be against him.”
The consultant acknowledged that Trump, just like his predecessor former President Ronald Reagan, was an outsider who managed to unite Republicans around him and lead the GOP to unprecedented victories. However, he did not know that at least half of them were trying to remove him ever since his election. But what is important, Stone continued, is that Trump has already gone down in history as a transformative president that stood his ground and stuck to his principles.
“They tried to talk him out of canceling the Iranian arms deal, but they could not. They tried to talk him out of canceling our involvement in the Paris Climate Accords but he still insisted on doing it. He achieved many great things despite being unfamiliar with the system,” he told Adams.
“[Trump] brought the economy roaring back before he left, because of the fundamentals of less regulation and low taxes. You’re [going to] have peace and prosperity under Trump. I think he can solve the Russia-Ukraine thing relatively quickly.”
Adams agreed with Stone, saying that the American people are ready for Trump to be bold in his return to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. “He could fire 100,000 federal workers on day one if he wanted to,” said the Natural News and Brighteon.com founder. “The American people are so fed up with the criminality of the federal government [and its] betrayal, and of them allowing the invasion of America.”
When asked if he was involved in the Trump campaign, Stone replied in the negative, arguing that he prefers his friendship with the former president. He also lauded Trump’s current campaign staffers.
“He’s got some excellent people working on his campaign. Not all of them, but the vast majority of his campaign leadership is superb. These are the people I would choose for him. They’re loyal, efficient, wise and experienced. His campaign is very calibrated, disciplined and carefully budgeted,” Stone remarked.
“As a veteran of 13 national presidential campaigns – from [former President Richard] Nixon, three campaigns with Reagan and to [former Kansas Sen.] Bob Dole, my favorite service was to Trump.”
Stone recounted the Iowa caucuses, where Trump won by three times the previous high watermark, as one of the highlights of his best campaign. He added that New Hampshire was one state Trump could be stopped. Instead, he won the Granite State’s primaries.
“The state law does say that registered independents can vote in the Republican primary, but they can only do so when the New Hampshire Republican state committee has approved a resolution that was never taken to the Republican state committee,” Stone explained. “The [New Hampshire] secretary of state allowed independents to vote in the primary.” (Related: New Hampshire goes to Trump, who’s now slated for Republican nomination.)
The longtime GOP political consultant also predicted that Trump would sweep the Nevada primaries – which he did, winning the Silver State with 98 percent of votes. Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, Trump’s remaining rival for the GOP nomination, did not get any of the votes as she wasn’t on the caucus ballot.
