Former President Donald Trump is launching his own social media platform to fight back against Big Tech corporations. Conservative radio talk show host and political commentator Pete Santilli said this is a fantastic opportunity to show that Trump has more support than President Joe Biden.
During the Oct. 21 episode of “The Pete Santilli Show”on Brighteon.TV, host Pete Santilli and co-host Deb Jordan talked in length about what it means for Trump to launch his own social media platform that will “stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech.”
Trump announced last week the creation of his new social media network called TRUTH Social. It will be launched by his new company, the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG).
According to the former president, this social media network will stand as a credible opposition social media platform to the “liberal media consortium,” and that it will be used to “fight back against the Big Tech companies of Silicon Valley, which have used their unilateral power to silence opposing voices in America.”
“I created TRUTH social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech,” wrote Trump in a statement announcing the new social media platform. “We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American president has been silenced.”
“This is unacceptable,” he said. “I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech. Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!”
TMTG expects TRUTH Social to roll out sometime during the first quarter of 2022. The company is also planning to launch a subscription video-on-demand service called “TMTG+.” The company said the video service will feature news, “non-woke” entertainment programming, podcasts and other content.
“It will compete with Silicon Valley in a big way,” said Santilli regarding TRUTH Social. Santilli added that the launching of Trump’s independent social media platform will go a long way to go head-to-head with mainstream and left-wing media outlets, such as “The Young Turks,” a liberal and progressive news commentary show on YouTube.
Santilli and Jordan pointed out that even though the show’s main host, Cenk Uygur, promoted bestiality on air and spouted anti-Christian rhetoric, it still has not been taken off YouTube. Santilli commented that it may be because the show receives a lot of its funding – as much as $100 million – from liberal billionaire George Soros.
“They had to take over Silicon Valley,” said Santilli of liberal networks like “The Young Turks.” He claimed these left-leaning shows had to do it because it helps them amplify their views that are not very popular. “Nobody likes communism,” Santilli said.
Santilli added that the takeover of Silicon Valley aided Biden and the Democratic Party’s goal of convincing America that more people actually voted for him. “It’s fake,” said Santilli. “It’s called a false consensus.” (Related: Mark Zuckerberg ‘bought’ 2020 election for Biden with ‘staggering’ funding, new analysis suggests.)
With the release of TRUTH Social, Santilli said the true number of people who voted for and continue to support Trump will be revealed.
“Let’s say 81 million people voted for Joe Biden. One hundred and twenty million voted for President Trump. But we’ll never know because of the electronic voting machine fraud,” said Santilli. “But President Trump essentially just said ‘I’ve got brand new voting machines. It’s called TRUTH Social and it’s held in the palm of your hand. You can cast your vote with a $5 bill.'”
Santilli continued by saying that Trump is basically challenging Biden to bring all of his supporters out on social media to go head-to-head with Trump’s supporters on his new social media platform. “Who do you think will become a media mogul quicker?” he asked. “It’s gonna be President Trump.”
“You cannot hide our votes, which are our wallets, the dollars in our wallets. He just set up a new voting system,” said Santilli. He continued by saying none of Biden’s supporters will be willing to pay to go on TRUTH Social and talk about the lies they push on mainstream social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
Months before TRUTH Social is expected to roll out nationwide, the opponents of Trump are already trying to prevent it from launching. Shortly after Trump announced the creation of TRUTH Social, left-wing hacker group Anonymous found a way into a beta version of TRUTH Social and began disrupting it.
Aubrey Cottle, a founding member of the organization, shared a link to the backdoor he and his accomplices were able to create to enter a beta version of TRUTH Social. Sharing the link led to an influx of people creating accounts that insulted Trump and other conservative figures like Ron Watkins and Steve Bannon.
“It took about two hours for them to realize something was going on,” said Cottle. “They initially reached by banning all of these parody accounts that were being created, and shortly after they pulled everything online.”
Cottle said he got his organization to attack TRUTH Social because it will supposedly attract racists, Neo-Nazis and people who like to use hate speech.
“But other than that, this was just a whole bunch of fun and chaos,” said Cottle. “The opportunity presented itself.”
As Santillan put it, Big Tech companies have enjoyed “monopolistic control of the flow of information.” The successful launching of a social media platform controlled by one of their biggest critics, Trump, would disrupt this control.
